Jeremiah and I decided to head to more open country and see if we could glass up any good elk or deer. The bulls were in abundance! Thanks to Shane Koury for lending me his spotting scope/video camera kit. We were able to film the biggest bulls at almost three miles away!

Ran into some great bulls while scouting July 26th. Unfortunately the unstable winds betrayed me and the two biggest bulls hit the trees before it was light enough to film. I was able to burn a little footage of a bull I called flat front through the spotting scope. Once he got to the aspens I snuck a little closer and got a minute of footage with the big camera. I love the way he looks head on with the big swooping thirds! Both he and the other decent bull with him are young, but showing some good potential for the future!

We found a great bull just when it got light enough to see this morning. Unfortunately the bull was moving over a rise. As we circled around to get closer and capture some footage, a few other bulls we hadn't seen winded us and the gig was up. About a half hour later we came across a few more bulls and we were able to get some footage. Nothing big, but fun non the less.
